• The Hangtown Motocross Classic enters its 47^th year. It is the oldest race on the schedule.
• Riders from 12 different countries will attempt to qualify for the 250 and 450 Classes on Saturday afternoon.
• A total of 119 riders across the 250 and 450 Classes are entered for the 2015 Hangtown Motocross Classic.
• The Hangtown Motocross Classic has served as the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship for five of the last six seasons.
• The Hangtown track layout for the 2015 season spans 1.2 miles.
• The Women’s Motocross Championship will make its anticipated return to the Nationals, hosting the fourth round of the 2015 season in conjunction with the Hangtown Motocross Classic. Kylie Fasnacht currently leads the championship standings.

450 Class Stats

• Defending champion Ken Roczen is the first German-born rider in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship history to wear the No. 1.
• The first Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship race held at Hangtown was on April 8, 1974, with Billy Grossi winning on a Honda.
• Hangtown is the only mainstay in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship that Ryan Dungey has never won at, in either class.
• KTM earned its first 450 Class win at Hangtown last season with Ken Roczen. It was also Roczen’s first career premier class victory.
• With Roczen’s win for KTM, Hangtown is now the only track in the championship where each of the six participating manufacturers – Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Yamaha – have won.
• Husqvarna’s lone Hangtown win came in 1975 with Kent Howerton.
• Ricky Carmichael is the winningest rider at Hangtown with a combined seven victories – 5 in the 450 Class, 2 in the 250 Class.
• James Stewart earned his first 450 Class victory at Hangtown in 2006 and went on to win two additional times in 2008 and 2012.
• Yamaha has not won at Hangtown since 2000 when David Vuillemin earned his inaugural 450 Class victory.
• From 2002 to 2008, only two riders won at Hangtown: Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart. Carmichael captured four straight victories from 2002-2005. Since then, five different riders have won in six years. Chad Reed won consecutive races in 2010 and 2011.
• Mike Alessi and Ken Roczen each earned their first-career victories in the 250 Class and 450 Class at Hangtown.

250 Class Stats

• The first Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship 250 Class race was held April 8, 1974, with Marty Smith winning on a Honda.
• Jeremy Martin’s win last season was the first for Yamaha at Hangtown since 1991, ending a 22-year gap.
• Sacramento-area native Steve Lamson and Mark Barnett are the winningest 250 Class riders at Hangtown with four wins apiece. Barnett won his four races consecutively.
• Lamson now serves as the team manager for Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha, guiding the team to a win at his home track last season.
• Four different riders have earned their first career 250 Class wins at Hangtown over the last six years – Ken Roczen, Blake Baggett, Eli Tomac and Christophe Pourcel.
• Eli Tomac made history in 2010 by becoming the first rider in history to win his professional debut.
• Jeremy McGrath earned his first professional motocross victory at Hangtown in 1993.
