• Unadilla was a part of the inaugural Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in 1972.
• With over 45 years of hosting world-class motocross events, predating the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship all the way back to 1969, Unadilla is one of the sport's most historic venues.
• Unadilla has some of the most uniquely named obstacles in the country like Gravity Cavity, The Wall, and Skyshot.
• Despite there being a huge crop of riders from the empire state, in 28 years a New York native has never captured an overall victory at Unadilla in either the 450 Class or 250 Class. With two wins in the last four races, New York native Justin Barcia may have the best opportunity to break through.
• Over the last four rounds, dating back to Budds Creek, no rider has been better than Barcia, who’s average finish of 1.75 and 183 accumulated points top points leader Ryan Dungey’s 2.6 finishing average and 178 points earned.
• A rider named Ryan has won the 450 Class for five consecutive seasons at Unadilla, with Dungey and Villopoto trading victories since 2010. With Villopoto’s recent retirement, Dungey will be tasked at keeping that streak alive. A win would signify his fourth in six starts at Unadilla.
• MXGP rider Shaun Simpson, its most recent winner from Scotland, will continue the recent tradition of international riders taking the opportunity to travel overseas mid-season and race against the global field of riders in the prestigious the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
• Another Scotsman, Dean Wilson, will make his 2015 debut on Saturday following a lengthy recovery from a torn ACL and MCL in January. It will be his first 450 Class race with Red Bull KTM. With the addition of Simpson as well, the team is tripling its 450 Class entries at Unadilla.
• The European-inspired Unadilla layout has been good to international riders recently in the 250 Class, with foreign-born competitors winning in five of the last eight seasons.
• There has been a double-digit point swing between the two 250 Class championship leaders, Marvin Musquin and Jeremy Martin, six times during the 2015 season. Nearly 100 points has been exchanged through these six rounds. Moreover, at no point this season have Martin and Musquin battled head-to-head for victory despite winning seven of the nine rounds (15 combined moto wins) thus far.
• For the first time in 2015, the championship leader in the 250 Class (Jeremy Martin) will carry the red number plate as the points leader for a third straight round.

450 Class Stats

• The first race held at Unadilla was July 16, 1972. Gary Jones won on a Yamaha.
• This will be the 25^th time the gate will drop for a 450 Class race at Unadilla.
• 12 different riders have won at Unadilla in 24 years.
• Kevin Windham, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopoto are the only riders to win at Unadilla in both classes.
• Christophe Pourcel, Trey Canard, and Dean Wilson can add their name to the list of riders winning in both classes.
• Ryan Dungey, Ricky Carmichael, and Mike LaRocco are the only riders to have three or more wins in the 450 Class at Unadilla.
• Kawasaki has swept both classes at Unadilla on five different occasions. In 2012, KTM swept both classes for the first time ever with wins by Ryan Dungey and Marvin Musquin.
• Yamaha won the first two races held at Unadilla in 1972 and 1973, but has not won since.
• Unadilla has been used for Inter-Am events, Trans-Am events, and USGPs in the 1970's and 1980's. The track hosted a 500cc national in 1976, 1977, 1989, 1990 and 1991. It was also the site of the first Motocross of Nations on US soil in 1987.
• Ricky Johnson won his last AMA race at Unadilla on October 14, 1990, in the 500cc class.
• While the track has been a favorite amongst international riders, only three have taken wins in the 450 Class (Chad Reed, Greg Albertyn, and Pierre Karsmakers).

250 Class Stats

• The first race was held at Unadilla on October 15, 1989. Damon Bradshaw won on a Yamaha.
• This will be the 26^th time the gate will drop at Unadilla for the 250 Class.
• Guy Cooper was the first rider to win back-to-back at Unadilla in 1990 and 1991. He also earned his last 250 Class victory at Unadilla in 1991 on a Suzuki.
• Since then, only Ryan Hughes (1994-95), Ricky Carmichael (1998-99) and James Stewart (2002-04) have won back-to-back at Unadilla. The feat won’t be attempted in 2015 as defending winner Christophe Pourcel is now racing in the 450 Class.
• There have been three first time winners at Unadilla – James Dobb, Broc Hepler, and Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin in 2012 with a 2-3 moto score. Since then Musquin has collected a total of 8 overall victories.
• Until last year’s win by Christophe Pourcel on a Yamaha, the brand had been winless at Unadilla for 14 years.
• Six international riders have won Unadilla a total of seven times (Christophe Pourcel, Dean Wilson, Marvin Musquin, Ben Townley, Grant Langston, and Stephane Roncada).
