450 Moto 2 Recap

Ryan Dungey holeshots the moto, with Mike Alessi and James Stewart behind. In the second corner, James pulls a textbook cut underneath both riders and takes the lead. Dungey and Alessi go back and forth throughout the first lap, with Dungey coming out in second and Alessi in third.

Jake Weimer and Matt Lemoine had their work cut out for them, as they went down in the first corner. Weimer came all the way back to 6th place with one of the hardest charges of the day.

At the halfway point, it was still Stewart out front, with Dungey stalking him and Alessi in third. Stewart went on to win the moto by only 1.3 seconds over Dungey and Alessi.

250 Moto 2 Recap

Jessy Nelson takes yet another holeshot! He’s followed by Blake Wharton, Wil Hahn, Martin Davalos, Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson. Ivan Tedesco, Justin Barcia and a slew of others went down in the first corner.

Wharton makes quick work of Nelson and takes the lead. Only a handful of laps later, Tomac is into second going after Wharton. At minute 13 of the moto, Tomac makes his way by Wharton for the lead.

Jason Anderson, Ken Roczen and Blake Baggett are absolutely going for it. You could throw a blanket over these three.

Ten minutes plus two laps to go and the top ten order is Tomac, Wharton, Anderson, Roczen, Barcia, Musquin, Hahn, Nelson and Baker.

Baggett and Wharton go at it for the last 4 laps, but‚  Baggett gets by him on the last lap for second. Tomac goes 1-1 on the day!
