Recap

Jessy Nelson takes the holeshot in the 2nd moto. He has Wil Hahn, Blake Baggett, Justin Barcia and Marvin Musquin in tow. Eli Tomac is mid-pack as the race gets underway. After some early passes, they round the first lap with Baggett in the lead, Barcia 2nd, and Hahn and Musquin running right behind.

On lap three, Baggett has a tip-over and hands the lead to Barcia. The running order for the end of the next lap is Barcia, Baggett, Musquin, Tomac, Hahn, Gareth Swanepoel and Ken Roczen.

Halfway through the moto, Barcia still leads Baggett, and they both have a sizeable lead over the next pack consisting of Musquin, Tomac, Hahn and Roczen. After another lap, Baggett puts the charge on Barcia and makes the pass right before LaRocco's Leap. Baggett puts a sizeable lead on Barcia within a few laps.

Blake Baggett takes the win with a 19-second advantage over Justin Barcia and finishes the day with 1-1 scores. Ken Roczen finishes outside the top 5 in this moto, putting him in 5th overall for the day.

Mike Alessi takes the holeshot with Christian Craig and Ryan Dungey in tow. As they cross the line for the first time, the order is Alessi, Craig, Dungey, Justin Brayton and James Stewart.

In the next corner, Stewart makes the pass on Brayton for 4th, and then a few corners later, Dungey gets around Craig. Two laps later, Dungey makes the move on Alessi for the lead. Almost at the same time, Stewart passes Craig for 3rd.

Brayton gets by Craig for fourth place at the race's halfway mark.

By the time we hit 10 minutes of the countdown clock, Dungey has a 20 second lead over Alessi. He goes on to take the moto victory with a 30-second lead over the 800. Alessi's runner-up finish puts him 5th overall for the day after he finished outside the top-ten in Saturday's first moto.
