GEICO Becomes the Official Insurance Partner of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 16, 2013) — MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports, a division of NBC Sports, are proud to welcome GEICO as the Official Insurance Partner of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. The company will serve as the official campground sponsor of all 12 rounds of racing and the title sponsor of The High Point National, Round 4 of the series, taking place on Saturday, June 8.
“Motocross fans are some of the most passionate sports fans on the planet,” said Ted Ward, GEICO vice president. “Being the official insurance partner gives us a great opportunity to connect with them on a personal level and to promote our family of products.”
GEICO has taken its passion for racing to another level in 2013. The partnership allows GEICO to expand its efforts to reach motocross enthusiasts and fans alike, as well as amateur racing families inside the GEICO Campground area throughout the summer months. In addition, the GEICO Honda team returns this season to Lucas Oil Pro Motocross with a lineup in the 250 Class.

The highly anticipated 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship kicks off this Saturday, May 18 with the Red Bull Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, Calif. Live television coverage of the opening motos of the 450 Class and 250 Class can be seen on FUEL TV beginning at 1 p.m. PST / 4 p.m. ET, with coverage of second motos to follow on NBC Sports Network Monday at 12:30 a.m. ET.
Television coverage of the GEICO High Point National in Mt. Morris, Pa., will begin live at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 8 with the opening motos of the 450 Class and 250 Class. Same day coverage of the second motos can be seen on NBC Sports Network at 5 p.m.
