Scenic Wine Country Will Again Set the Stage to Honor the Champions and Achievements of the 2013 Season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 7, 2013) - MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group, are pleased to announce the return of the annual Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Season Celebration to the picturesque South Coast Winery in Temecula, Calif. This year's celebration will begin at 6 p.m. PST on Sunday, August 25, one day after the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, finale at the Red Bull Lake Elsinore National in nearby Lake Elsinore, Calif.

The Season Celebration will honor the top 10 finishers in the 450 Class and 250 Class, along with their respective teams. Many members of the motocross industry will join the riders and teams in gathering for a night of celebration hosted by NBC and FUEL TV host Jason Weigandt as he takes a look back at each round of the championship and the highlights that shaped how the titles unfolded in each division.

Headlining the several awards that will be handed out that evening are the coveted Edison Dye Motocross Cup for the 450 Class and the Gary Jones Motocross Cup for the 250 Class. Each trophy will be awarded to the rider and team that claimed each respective championship. Additionally, the Manufacturers Cup will be presented to the OEM that accumulated the highest series points overall.

Each respective champion will have a chance in the spotlight, receiving their own trophy and distinguished medal to commemorate their achievement and serve as the ideal complement to the exclusive number one plates that will adorn their bikes the following season. MX Sports Pro Racing will also recognize the 2013 Sportsperson of the Year, which is given to the rider that exhibited the determination and class often identified with the most renowned names in the sport, as well as hand out Rookie of the Year accolades to the top first-year rider in the 250 Class.

Moreover, the Team Manager of the Year, Motocross Team of the Year, and Transport Driver of the Year will give credit to people behind the scenes of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.
