Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Establishes Raffle Initiative with Competing OEM’s to Give Away 450cc Motorcycle
All Raffle Proceeds Benefit Asterisk Mobile Medical Center
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 15, 2015) – The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, which continues its 2015 season on Saturday with the FMF Glen Helen National, has teamed up with the sport’s OEM’s to give away a 450cc motorcycle to one lucky recipient. The grand-prize winner will have the choice of model from any of the six competing manufacturers of the Nationals – Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha – with all proceeds benefitting the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center (AMMC).
Entering the raffle is as simple as logging onto WinA450.com and purchasing a $10 raffle ticket, limit one entry per person. Entry into the raffle concludes on August 21, with the winner announced on August 22 at the Bud Light Ironman National, the 12th and final round of the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
"The Asterisk Mobile Medical Center, and the dedicated crew of doctors and health care professionals who staff the unit, play a critical role in looking after the on-site medical needs of riders who compete in the series,” said Roy Janson, Managing Director at MX Sports Pro Racing. “The raffle allows fans an opportunity to help to support this important program."
Last year, the 450 giveaway raised over $30,000 for the AMMC, a mobile emergency care facility made available to event staff, participants, and crew members at every round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at no cost. The full 53-foot hospital trailer is staffed with qualified and experienced medical personnel and offers specialized equipment for the sport’s unique injuries. The AMMC is provided to the racing community by Asterisk, a developer of state-of-the-art knee braces. Operational budget for the AMMC to provide its service at the races comes from members of the racing community, including MX Sports Pro Racing, organizers of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship begins this Saturday, May 16, with the GoPro Hangtown Motocross Classic near Sacramento, California. Tickets for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship are available at www.ProMotocross.com.
