Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and GEICO Team Up
in Support of the Military at Budds Creek National
A Total of 150 Tickets Donated to Veterans and Active Military for VIP Experience

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (August 16, 2017) – The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, and GEICO have joined forces to provide free tickets and a VIP experience for all military personnel and their families at this Saturday’s GEICO Motorcycle Budds Creek National, the penultimate round of the 2017 season.

Sitting just a short drive from Washington, D.C., Joint Base Andrews, and other military installations throughout the region, Budds Creek Motocross Park provides an ideal setting for the world’s most prestigious off-road motorcycle racing championship. The event honors and recognizes the sacrifices of our service veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Through an initiative with VetTix.org and GEICO, the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship has donated 150 tickets to members of the military in advance of Saturday’s race. All armed service personnel, veterans, and their families attending the race will be provided with a VIP experience at the GEICO Military Hospitality tent, which features premier viewing of the action on the track and complementary food and refreshments.

GEICO has always been a strong supporter of the military, and its continued partnership with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship provides a platform to create this initiative in one of the most unique settings in sports. In addition, the championship’s extended partnership with the Veterans Ticket Foundation (VetTix) ensures members of the military have a chance to see the world’s fastest riders in action at every event across the country.

The GEICO Motorcycle Budds Creek National commences this Saturday, August 19, with practice and qualifying rounds beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET. Motos for both the 450 Class and 250 Class kick off at 1 p.m. ET. Broadcast coverage from Budds Creek begins on MAVTV with live coverage of the opening motos at 1 p.m. ET, followed by live coverage of the final 450 Class moto on NBC at 3 p.m. ET.
