2017 Pro Motocross Season Finale Boasts Full Slate
of Entertainment and Amateur Racing
 

The 12th and final round of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, is set to take place next Thursday, August 24 through Sunday, August 27 with the Christi Hubler Chevrolet Ironman National presented by Moto Armory in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The fourth annual event includes a full slate of special events, amateur racing and professional competition.

Gates open on Thursday, August 24, at noon to the motorsports-crazed town of Crawfordsville as the Finish Line Festival will be hosted the racetrack for the first time ever. Historically held downtown Crawfordsville as part of the Community Days Program, Ironman Raceway and the Montgomery County Visitors & Convention Bureau will be bringing the activities out to the racetrack this year on Thursday night from 6-9 p.m. Thursday admission will be free to Montgomery Country residents and a host of local vendors, games and activities for families of all ages will take place near Sponsor Village. Headlining the action will be an autograph session from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with top factory race teams participating.

The on track action starts on Friday with 35 amateur classes for racers of all ages and skill level as part of the FLYday Friday program. Specialty awards will be presented to each class winner including replica professional number plates and Fly Racing contingency. Early Entry Pit Passes to the Ironman National will also accompany each winner’s award, in addition to a team truck tour on Friday evening at 5 p.m.

Children 12 and under are invited to the “Party with the Pros,” from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the My Lucas Oil rig located near Sponsor Village. The party will feature an autograph signing with some of the top 250 pro riders and the Lucas Oil girls, complemented by free pizza and games. 

The Ironman Pit Bike National is back and bigger than ever. Dust off the pit bike and get ready for some bar-banging action beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night featuring the following classes: Bone Stoke 110, Pro Stock 110, Open 110 and Clutch Full-Size TTR 125/Honda 150 Air-Cooled.

The 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship comes to a conclusion on Saturday, August 26, at Ironman Raceway, located in the heart of one of the most enthusiastic racing pockets in the U.S. This setting makes it the ideal location to host the season finale, as both championships will be decided in the 450cc and 250cc class divisions.

The second day of amateur racing will take place Sunday, August 27, in conjunction with the GLMX Mafia Series and the AMA Indiana State Championship. Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, features the world's fastest outdoor motocross racers, racing aboard the best bikes each factory offers, on the roughest, toughest tracks in the world. The 12-rounds series begins at Hangtown in May and ends at Indiana's Ironman Raceway in August. It includes stops at the premier motocross racing facilities in America, with events in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington, New York and Indiana. The pro riders race on Saturday afternoon, with competition divided into two classes: one for 250cc machines, and one for 450cc machines. The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is managed by MX Sports Pro Racing, the industry leader in off-road power sports event production.
