Long List of Returning Sponsors Gear Up to Provide Support
For 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 11, 2018) – The highly anticipated new season of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, is rapidly approaching, and today MX Sports Pro Racing and NBC Sports Group announced the impressive contingent of sponsors that will provide support to the world’s most prestigious championship during the 2018 campaign.

“The support this Series gets from the motocross industry is substantial, and NBC is very thankful to renew every sponsor from last year’s Series - a testament to the quality of racing and content” said Chris Stiepock, Vice President for NBC Sports Ventures.

Spearheading series support of American motocross for its landmark 10th season is Lucas Oil, a name that has become synonymous with virtually all forms of racing, and has helped elevate the global presence of the Pro Motocross Championship for the past decade. As a complement to the series sponsorship, the iconic branding of Red Bull as the Official Energy Drink of the Nationals has also broadened the reach of the championship since 2012, and its support will continue in the form of title sponsorship at a trio of events – the season opening Hangtown Motocross Classic, the High Point National, and the RedBud National. Additionally, Red Bull will tap into the moto lifestyle with the return of MX Nation on NBC Sports Network, which will provide an in-depth, behind the scenes look at the Nationals.

The longtime support of Pro Motocross from GEICO Motorcycle will continue in the form of military recognition. In association with VetTix.org, the Official Insurance Provider of the Nationals will donate 100 tickets to veterans and their families for the GEICO Budds Creek National. Additionally, GEICO will host an exclusive VIP area for military families at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, the Glen Helen National, and at Budds Creek.

They are excited to showcase the unique 360-degree perspective of the Ultra High Definition VIRB action camera each and every week on the broadcasts and on social media.

On the track, the series’ Official Online Retailer MotoSport.com will recognize the rider who gets the best start out the gate each and every moto with the coveted MotoSport.com Holeshot, and it will also provide title sponsorship of the MotoSport Washougal National for the first time. Fans of American motocross will have a couple different opportunities to engage with supporting sponsors as well. As the Official Motorcycle Tire of the Nationals with its SCORPION MX tire, global powerhouse Pirelli will not only continue to provide advice and insight to fans via technical specialists inside the Sponsor Village at each round, but it will also launch its biggest giveaway initiative to date, giving 12 lucky winners throughout the season FREE motorcycle tires for a year.
