Yamaha Announces Expanded 2024 SMX League Contingency

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce an expanded 2024 bLU cRU Off-Road Racing Contingency Program for the SuperMotocross League. Boasting a significant increase from 2023, the program features over $5 million for Yamaha bLU cRU riders competing in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, the Pro Motocross Championship, and SuperMotorcoss World Championship 250 and 450 classes.
“We’re happy to announce an expanded 2024 bLU cRU Off-Road Racing Contingency Program for the upcoming supercross, motocross, and SMX season, which is nearly 40% over 2023,” said Tom Halverson, the Yamaha Racing Assistant Department Manager for YMUS. “Our bLU cRU program has proven beneficial to Yamaha riders who excel in competition. We’re excited about the opportunity to increase the total funds to $5 million, rewarding Yamaha-supported and privateer racers at the most prestigious and challenging events in our sport. We have also included the addition of $300 for making the night show at 14 rounds of supercross outside of the Triple Crown and SMX Playoff rounds, further helping the racing aspirations of many bLU cRU competitors.”
Riders who compete in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, the Pro Motocross Championship, or the SMX World Championship aboard any qualified Yamaha YZ motorcycles are invited to register for the 2024 bLU cRU Off-Road Racing Contingency Program.
The comprehensive 2024 bLU cRU Off-Road Racing Contingency Program will be announced at a later date, with information on additional race series, events, and classes included.
